to say i'm disillusioned is to say i fear confusion when in fact i'm living for it when in fact i don't give a shit there's a war somewhere over there there's a war and we don't even care i'm fine right where i'm living i eat steak every night for dinner i'm young and i'm free i enjoy middle class equality i got a new car and hot girlfriend and i don't want this life to ever end my friends are all sporting mohawks and their folks are all sporting golf clubs sometimes we tee off before noon sometimes we enjoy microbrews there's bombs strapped their chests but their brown and we could care less we've got better fears to keep us stunned like how much is left in our trust fund chorus

we took a trip to the cathedral and everybody got to meet you they said that you were very pretty and then we all got nice and shitty even the priest was kinda fucked up too many swigs from the communion cup the blood of christ really compels you his BAC they never tell you, no no and we were looking for any little nook or cranny so we could show christ our love too bad the place was swarming and the marriage boring and our lord looking down from above i swear that night / we saw god frown in our eyes we knew it wasn't right / but we were bound by desire excuse our plight / our holy compromise we really tried to fight it / and we were drowned out by the choir my daddy said, "don't be a quitter" he used to tell me that on twitter and so we kept on going after they all descended from the rafters and this was holy matrimony! not my big sister -- that one's phony she looks as terrified to be there as all the people in the plastic chairs and as they held the reception i procured contraception and brought the heavens down to earth your screams were muffled by mingling both our bodies were tingling and it was great - for what it was worth chorus

about

This was originally a separate EP project but after years of not having it released, I decided to fold it into the Here Lies Laika discog. It's just guitar and drums, and I think conceptually it's an album made after the band's bass player left.
