i know a man born a legend
he was an old friend of mine
we used to go everywhere
during the summertime
i'm talking about aaron kiefer
built like a brick shithouse
probly stood ten feet tall
y'never wanted to mess with him
unless you had the gall
i'm talking about aaron kiefer

Reputation

so you got a reputation
that doesn't make you a bad guy
you excel in motivation
you take a hit for the small fry
in any situation
you stand ahead of the crowd
so you got a reputation
you know it's only a shroud
people say what they wanna say
and you do what you wanna do
some people say you're the guy
who fucks fat girls
but you say hey, that's aaron kiefer to you
so you like to drink keystone
that doesn't make you uncultured
these people think they got you known
they're flying over like vultures
the closest thing to paparazzi
that you can find in this town
but all the people in boise
are really glad you're around
people say what they wanna say
and you do what you wanna do
some people say you're the guy
who drinks too much
but you say hey, that's aaron kiefer to you
sometimes impulses attack
you got no reason or rhyme
sometimes you gotta hold back
we're just having a good time
sometimes you get yourself into trouble
fill the bathroom sink with all your stubble
sometimes you sit at home and everything's fine
so you got a reputation
these people do it for humor
you'd rather have a celebration
than sit and listen to rumors
people say what they wanna say
and you do what you wanna do
some people say you're the guy
who acts real well
but you say hey, well i guess that's true

hey you, in that jaunty irish cap
mulligan's, do you know where it's at?
we wanna start a fight and get drunk quickly
wait a minute is you kiefer?
hey man! it's good to see you!
come on in, and we'll have some frosty brews
don't you worry 'bout a tab, i got you covered
just sit down and tell me about your mother
how's she doing? (she's alright i guess)
does she still think you're a big fucking mess?
(hey man, that's not cool to say)
oh, i'm just fucking with you anyway
(well alright, but i--)
what do you wanna drink?
(i'll have a coors light in a bottle, i think)
ah! that's the king of beers! (no it's--)
everything else is for fucking queers!
(oh my god, okay let's just have a few beers
talk about our life-- now this guy is in tears
it's five am and i still don't remember your name
i'll just get up to leave before it's too late)
whoa dude, where do you think you're off to?
ya can't leave, i just started a pot of stew
if you're into it, i got faces of death on my mac
there's a pretty sweet one with a guy and a heart attack
and afterwards we can watch the sunrise
and look longingly into each others eyes
and if you go home i'll be quite upset
i'll follow you around in my shiny red corvette
you wanna bowl? (no, i'm okay)
eat it man! it's been simmering all fucking day
(i had a big meal earlier, you see)
no i don't see, what do you mean, you see?
(i ate a home!) oh great! now i've got
a big old pot of stew that's gonna sit and rot
on a ... cot (what?) i don't know. just eat the fucking stew!
(oh my god, okay let's just have a small bowl
say, this stew is good it's too bad you're a psycho
it's eight am and i still don't remember your name
i'll just get up to leave before it's too late)
(i think i'm gonna go) but you just got here!
and we've still got five from our 32 pack of beers!
(that's great but i got work in the morning)
it's sunday! are you really that boring?!
crash out here, i won't watch you sleep
(alright, that's just really creepy)
fine, go home, go to bed, complain
i'm gonna sit right here and sing the refrain!
(oh my god, okay let's just have a few beers
talk about our life even though i'm in fear
it's ten am and i still don't remember your name
i'll just get up to leave before it's too late)

Aaron vs. the Tornado
03:58
|
|||
staring out across the plains
aaron saw it coming
foreshadowed by heavy rains
it kept the people running
smoking on his front porch
grim determination on his face
aaron snuffed out his cigarette
and went out there to take his place
rolled up sleeves, iron will
it kept moving; he stood still
white adidas standing ground
when that twister came around
he grabbed the mass of swirling air
and took it straight to the floor
and as they wrestled fair and square
old aaron let out a lion's roar
the tornado tried to pin him down
but aaron was a fighter
and as they grappled throughout the town
aaron kept on holding tighter
rolled up sleeves, iron will
it kept moving; he stood still
white adidas standing ground
when that twister came around
finally the thing was beat
a tiny wisp of tired wind
it died right there at aaron's feet
he had it pinned
the townsfolk held a big parade
to celebrate their newest hunk
but when they knocked on aaron's door
he was already drunk
rolled up sleeves, iron will
it kept moving; he stood still
white adidas standing ground
when that twister came around
